You know, I think the writers of Endgame meant to display some twisted form of poetic justice when they made Tony sacrifice himself instead of Cap. Tony has had a long career of not-so-great choices even though he was still a hero. He lived a lavish lifestyle and got basically anything and everything he ever wanted. He never ACTUALLY had to suffer for anything, except his parents dying and himself getting kidnapped. Cap, on the other hand, has shown countless times that he is a true hero, willing to make the ultimate sacrifice to save the lives of others, and having already done that by taking the bomber into the ice he has already done more for humanity than anyone should ever have to. But he went on being a hero and making sacrifices and suffering hardships no one should have to. Everyone and everything he loved was taken from him and he never made a fuss about it. He even went as far as becoming a government fugitive to protect his friend because it was the right thing to do. Having said all this, I feel like the writers wanted to give each of these characters the send-offs they deserved. Tony deserved to get to prove once and for all that he wasn't just some billionaire prick trying to look badass in a suit of armor, but rather a selfless and heroic man who would make the ultimate sacrifice should the opportunity arise (which came when he took the nuke into the chitauri portal, but also when he took the opportunity to use the gauntlet to defeat Thanos). Conversely, Cap had already sacrificed so much and had not had a good life at all, before or after being in ice for ~75 years. He had proven time and time again that he was more of a hero than the world deserved. Because of this, I think the writers gave him exactly what he deserved: an opportunity to go back and have the life he always deserved but never got.

idk why but when people face impossible odds but remain steadfast (like Cap when he was about to take on Thanos's whole army by himself before everyone else showed up) gets me more hyped than anything. My boy was ready to die right then and there to save the world and was perfectly fine with it, so long as he gave every last bit of what he had.

To be completely honest with you, even though Cap was worthy of Thor's hammer, I still think Iron Man was better, no idea why, but it's the feeling that Iron Man is better, no offense. The way Tony Stark and Peter Parker connected like a father and son relationship, especially when Stark died, Parker was really emotional, my all-time favorite superheroes of the MCU. And did you all know there's an Iron Man 4 coming out like this year? It was on The Ellen Show and Ellen asked Robert Downey Jr. if there's going to be an Iron Man 4, and Downey said yes! I can't wait to see it! Fan of Goku, peace!
